Proofreading
If your work has already gone through the copyediting stage and is a formatted, print-ready PDF ready to be published.
Includes review of:

✓ Table of contents and chapter/section headings consistency

✓ Stylistic consistency (for references, etc.)

Copyediting
If you’re not sure your version is really the final version yet in terms of language and “grammar”, and would like someone to go through it with a fine-toothed comb.
Includes review of:
✓ Completeness
✓ Grammatical correctness
✓ Clarity and coherence of information
✓ Consistency of information
✓ Stylistic consistency
✓ Factual accuracy of information
✓ Accuracy of words with respect to context
✓ Tense
Line + Copyediting
When you’re done with the first draft and the manuscript has already been through a structural/developmental edit.
Includes copyediting, plus:
✓ Tone appropriateness check as per target audience
✓ Flow (cohesion) check
✓ Style and language improvement suggestions at sentence level
✓ Minor rephrasing and rearrangement of text
✓ Removal of verbosity
Note:
1. All services include two rounds. Further rounds might be charged additionally depending on the scope.
2. For editing services, the full manuscript is required before any work begins so the editor can be sure the story is ready to undergo the editing service booked. If it isn’t, the editor will reschedule the booking in consultation with the client. Any advance paid is non-refundable.
